Jason Momoa Workout – My Take

The very fact that Jason has been asked about his Conan the Barbarian workout in an interview more than once, really just proves that he is absolutely ripped! I’m not quite sure if there are any guys (or girls) that wouldn’t want his body. Of course, I’m also not quite sure if there are any guys, who have the commitment or the time to actually do the Jason Momoa Workout routine.

I mean, even Momoa, when asked if he worked out today, said “I did unfortunately” even he dreads his workout. But there is one big difference between you and Jason: he gets paid for working out, you don’t. 6 hours a day of “lifting really heavy things” eating “oiled chicken” (if you’ve never tried oiled chicken, I advise you don’t; it’s disgusting. As he says, “just like wet cardboard”), and lots of repition. Obviously, you know there is quite a bit more to it than that (watch the video below if you want more) but that’s the gist of it.

Other than that, I found it quite comical that he doesn’t like horses and horses don’t like him. Of course, if I were a horse, I’d buck him off too. That is alot of (muscle) weight to carry around.

There really is no better way to learn Momoa’s workout routine than to hear him actually talk about. This was part of a 15 minute exclusive interview with him, if you want to see the whole thing you can find it at the bottom of this page.

Interviewer: And your obviously in pretty fine shape physically. I just wondered how you achieve and sort of maintain for this film the body of a legend I guess. Is there a kind of Conan workout you can share with the world?
Jason: There is there’s actually a website. The trainer made up a website called ar7now.com and um, ya he’s amazing. He’s a guy from Hawaii that I knew. he was training me, we were doing about six hours of training a day, but we were doing about 2 hours of sword work and then we would go to, take a break stretch, three hours of weight training, an then cardio. Then try to sleep as much as possible, and eat oiled chicken breast every 2 hours, which is not very good. But that’s how you get that body, but not anymore.

Interviewer: Well if umm anyone sort of going along to the film with maybe quite a sort of average body and either they or their girlfriend start complaining, “I want you to have that body” what’s your kind of top advice to them?

Jason: Find another girlfriend. No umm, you know really the thing is to get a nice body it’s just healthy eating, eating clean. Don’t eat the cr*p food and excercise, and you don’t have to be …umm… you know we did something to the extreme and you know you’re lifting heavy weights. But I mean 2 hours a day, makes you feel better, and uh just eat healthy. Don’t eat such big meals, eat small ones.

Interviewer: Did you have to carry around a lot of chicken with you.

Jason: Ya it’s ridiculous, I have like a tin foil thing, I mean you feel silly; but if you just eat salads and you eat small things and peck around. Its not the greatest way to eat but you’re gonna look and feel and you just, your body’s actually alive, it’s, you slowly discover food is like fuel, and, that you can feel when you put the food in how it reacts to you.

So basically, the Jason Momoa Workout is 2 hours of sword work and then take a break to stretch. Followed by three straight hours of heavy intense weight training, and then an hour of cardio. After that you eat oiled chicken every 2 hours and sleep. Pretty intense if you ask me. There is absolutely zero way that I could pull that off, partly because I’m too lazy, but mostly because I don’t have 6 hours a day to do the Jason Momoa Workout (also, I don’t have a very big supply of chicken.)

I would love to hear what you think of this “Jason Momoa workout” routine in the comments. Also, if you’re looking for an alternativee (less intense and time consuming) to the Jason Momoa workout, I would highly recommend Kyle Leon’s Somanabolic Muscle Maximizer, as it produces amazing results, however, this is also a little intense for some people. So, I also recommend you try Visual Impact, because it really teaches you to put muscle on the right way in the right places, so you don’t become a “meat head” as they say.

The Jason Momoa Workout routine that got him ripped is coming soon to this site.

Jason Momoa is one buff dude, however, he didn’t wasn’t always (actually that might be a lie, he’s pretty much always been ripped, but now he’s uber ripped). To get the body he needed for his part in Conan the Barbarian he was put through some intense training and placed on a strict diet, a training program I call the “Jason Momoa workout“.

If your looking to achieve that same Conan the Barbarian look he has you have come to the right place. This website is dedicated to supplying you with the exact details of the Jason Momoa workout.

I have personally been a fan of Momoa since his first role in Baywatch where he played Jason Ioane, and he has certainly come a long way since then as he is now buffer than ever for his newest role as Conan in Conan the Barbarian which will be released into theaters August 19, 2011. The movie is a remake of the 1981 version.

In the movie,

“a quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.”
